We are an Ecuadorian tug company that operates in national and international waters supported by the experience on the maritime business obtained from the cooperation among CPT Empresas Maritimas from Chile and our organization.

We gather the effort and devotion from our human resource to implement a continuous improvement on our quality management system and on the service we provide to our clients, compromised to preserve our environment.

We Acquired “TUPAHUE” and Three similar tugboats which were built in Singapore.

We Added a new powerful Tugboat “ANTILÉN”

2011

In order to improve our services in all ports of the country with a new generation of more powerful tugboats and high-tech equipment and systems, SAGEMAR acquired tug “TEPUAL” to operate in the port of Guayaquil

November 2005

PEDRO DAVILA”, now called “ISLA PUNÁ” started its operations in the jurisdiction of the Port Authority of Port of Bolivar.
On November 15 of the year 2005, SAGEMAR acquired tug “TAYCO I”, today called “ISLA MONDRAGÓN”.

February, 2001

“ISLA SANTAY” arrived port of Guayaquil in order to render its services in the Guayas River.
In this same year, 2001, tug “CACIQUE”, which belonges to CPT EMPRESAS MARITIMAS of Chile, was charted by SAGEMAR to meet the demand for services in the jurisdiction of the Port Authority of Esmeraldas and ceased work in January 2002, date in which was moved to this area, as his replacement, the tug “CIUDAD DE ESMERALDAS”.

In Esmeraldas port authority, SAGEMAR started its operations on August 1997 with a chartered tug ,”R-30″, owned by a Cuban company, to meet the demand for service in this jurisdiction. a.

On August 1996, tug “LLACOLÉN” was transferred to port of Bolivar to provide its services in this jurisdiction. This tug was replaced in the port authority of Guayaquil by tug “CIUDAD DE i.

With a single screw tug built in Germany, “CIUDAD DE GUAYAQUIL”, SAGEMAR started its operations in the Port Authority of Guayaquil

HISTORY

With a single screw tug built in Germany, “CIUDAD DE GUAYAQUIL”, SAGEMAR started its operations in the Port Authority of Guayaquil in September of 1995.
In 1996 adds to the SAGEMAR fleet tugt “LLACOLÉN”.
On August 1996, tug “LLACOLÉN” was transferred to port of Bolivar to provide its services in this jurisdiction. This tug was replaced in the port authority of Guayaquil by tug “CIUDAD DE ESMERALDAS”.
In Esmeraldas port authority, SAGEMAR started its operations on August 1997 with a chartered tug ,”R-30″, owned by a Cuban company, to meet the demand for service in this jurisdiction.
On February 10, 2001 tug “ISLA SANTAY” arrived port of Guayaquil in order to render its services in the Guayas River.
In this same year, 2001, tug “CACIQUE”, which belonges to CPT EMPRESAS MARITIMAS of Chile, was charted by SAGEMAR to meet the demand for services in the jurisdiction of the Port Authority of Esmeraldas and ceased work in January 2002, date in which was moved to this area, as his replacement, the tug “CIUDAD DE ESMERALDAS”.
On October 31, 2001 SAGEMAR received in the city of Guayaquil two new tugs: “ISLA TRINITARIA” and the “CIUDAD DE MACHALA” in order to strengthen the capacity at the time.
On September 18, 2002 SAGEMAR added to its fleet two tugs: “PUERTO DE MANTA”, which rendered its services in the jurisdiction of the Port Authority of Manta and ceased to belong to the fleet of SAGEMAR on September 2005; and tug “PEDRO DAVILA”, now called “ISLA PUNÁ” which is currently rendering its services in the jurisdiction of the Port Authority of Port of Bolivar.
On November 15 of the year 2005, SAGEMAR acquired tug “TAYCO I”, today called “ISLA MONDRAGÓN”.
